How Can You Help More People Without Working More Hours?

Category: Online

Do you want to help more people without earning only for the hours in your calendar? An online product may be very different from what you imagine.

A few days ago, I bought an e-book and a set of videos about digestion through the lens of traditional Chinese medicine. Marie Helen helped me through them. I paid her. And neither of us had to find a free slot in our calendar.

That purchase made me realise how many experts I know whose knowledge I would gladly pay for. But there is no way for me to do that.

I can buy an hour of their time. But I cannot buy what they know.

Perhaps this is true for you, too. Maybe you want to help more people. Maybe you do not want to earn only when you are actively working. But the idea that you must create a huge online course does not appeal to you at all.

And that may be exactly why you are looking for the answer in the wrong place.

Your knowledge is only available when your time is, too

I know many therapists, physiotherapists and other women professionals with an enormous wealth of knowledge. They spend years studying, combining different approaches and noticing connections that most people do not see. In their work, they explain to clients what is happening in their body or life, why it is happening and what they can do themselves.

I would gladly pay for much of that knowledge. But there is no way for me to do so.

I can book a therapy session and reserve an hour of their time. But I cannot buy their perspective on a specific topic, work through it at my own pace and return to it whenever I need to. Their knowledge remains locked inside their calendar — available only to the person who buys that particular hour.

And once the calendar is full, the opportunity to help more people ends there, too.

Your knowledge can help people even when you are not sitting with a client.

Not everyone is looking for one-to-one therapy

I have never felt comfortable with an approach where I hand all the power to someone else and wait for them to solve things for me. I much prefer being able to understand the connections, learn, think, experiment and put the pieces together for myself.

That is why I bought the e-book and videos. I did not want someone to tell me exactly what to do. I wanted to understand my body better and then decide for myself what I would use.

This does not mean that one-to-one therapy has no value. It simply means that not everyone needs to begin with a personal appointment. Before meeting you one-to-one, some people may benefit from something that allows them to:

  • understand what is happening to them,
  • find their bearings in the topic,
  • try a few simple changes,
  • get to know the way you work,
  • or find out whether your approach feels right for them.

For that person, an online product can be the first doorway into your work.

An online product can be a safe first step into your work.

How do you create an online product when you do not know what it should be about?

When they hear “online product”, many women professionals immediately start wondering:

  • How many videos do I have to record?
  • Which platform should I use for the course?
  • How do I set up payments?
  • Where will I find the time to create it?
  • What else do I need to include?

But these are not the first questions to ask.

First, we need to look at what is already happening in your work:

  • Which question do your clients ask again and again?
  • What do you explain repeatedly?
  • What do they need to understand before their first appointment?
  • What could help them continue between therapy sessions?
  • Which connections change the way they see their problem?
  • What do you wish they knew sooner, before they come to you?

That may be where your first online product is hiding. Not in the huge topic you could talk about for days, but in a specific moment when your client needs to understand something no one has yet explained to her clearly.

An online product does not have to be a huge course. Sometimes one well-defined topic is enough.

You do not have to create a huge online course

An online product does not have to include thirty videos, workbooks, a community and three months of support. You could begin with:

  • a short e-book,
  • a video series,
  • audio recordings,
  • an online workshop,
  • a practical guide,
  • a small focused programme,
  • a combination of text and video,
  • or preparation for one-to-one work.

The product I bought from Marie Helen was not an extensive course covering all of traditional Chinese medicine. It focused on one specific topic that interested me at that moment — and that was enough to make me want to buy it.

Your client does not need everything you know. She needs what will help her take the next step.

Perhaps you do not lack the time to create a huge course. Perhaps you simply do not need to create a huge course at all.

First, you need to know where you want your product to help someone move next.

An online product does not begin with technology

You can record beautiful videos. You can upload them to the best platform. You can set up a payment gateway, automated emails and a members’ area.

But that still does not mean someone will understand:

  • why they need the product,
  • what it will give them,
  • whether it is truly for them,
  • why they should buy it from you,
  • and what they should do next.

The technical solution is only one part of the whole. Just like the website itself.

If you would like to see what changes when a website reflects not only what you offer, but also who you truly are, continue with A website that reflects you and finally shows who you truly are.

Even a valuable product needs a clear path that helps people find it.

Creating the product is not enough. People need a way to find it

Imagine creating an e-book or course, publishing one post on social media and waiting. A few people who already know you well may buy it. Then interest fades.

Perhaps people still do not know why they need it. They do not recognise themselves in the problem it solves. They do not know what makes your approach different. Or they do not yet trust you enough to buy from you.

That is why creating the content is not enough. We need to see the whole sales journey:

  1. How does someone discover you?
  2. What helps them get to know you?
  3. Where do they come to understand the way you think?
  4. How do they know the product is truly for them?
  5. What helps them decide?
  6. What happens after they pay?
  7. Where can they go next?

From the first idea to the path that brings the product to the right people.

This is where I see my role

I do not want to simply teach women professionals how to create an online course. I do not want to hand you a list of tools and leave you to piece everything together on your own.

I would first like to look at you and your work:

  • what you find yourself repeating,
  • what your clients truly need,
  • what is different about your approach,
  • what product you may already be creating without realising it,
  • and what place it should have within your work as a whole.

Then I can help you turn that idea into a specific product, its copy, website, sales journey, emails and technical systems.

A valuable product, just like a website, only works when people understand why they should choose you. That is the question behind He showed me everything he can do. So why couldn’t I find a reason to choose him?

A client and web designer in conversation, an important step in choosing the right web designer.

Maybe you do not need more hours. You need a different way to share what you know.

Maybe your problem is not a lack of time

Perhaps you have been thinking for a while about an e-book, course or workshop. Then you look at your calendar and tell yourself:

“I do not have time for this right now.”

That may be true. But perhaps time is not the only thing holding you back.

Maybe you cannot choose one topic from everything you know. Maybe you feel you first need to create a huge course. Maybe you cannot see what feels obvious to you but is deeply valuable to your client. Or perhaps you cannot imagine how to bring the product, website, content, sales and technical solution together into one working whole.

And so you remain stuck. Because you are looking at your knowledge from the inside.

You do not have to convince yourself that you want an online business

This path is not for every expert. Not everyone wants to create an online product. Some people prefer one-to-one work and do not want to change or expand it — and that is perfectly fine.

I do not want to convince women to create courses simply so they can earn more or build “passive income”.

I want to work with women who already feel:

“I know there is something in me that could help more people. I just do not know what form to give it.”

That is where our conversation can begin.

Could it already be in your head?

Maybe it is:

  • a topic you explain to clients every week,
  • a process you have developed through years of practice,
  • a connection that only you can see in your field,
  • or an idea that keeps returning to you, even though you still do not know what to do with it.

I am now opening this form of collaboration to the first women professionals who already sense that their knowledge does not have to remain available only during a personal appointment.

You do not need to arrive with a product name, an outline or a technical solution. It is enough to know that you have something in your head.

If you are curious to discover what I can see in your idea, send me a message. We will look at it together.

You do not need to know what product to create. You only need to begin with a conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does an online product always have to be a course?

No. It can be an e-book, a video series, an audio recording, a workshop, a short programme or a combination of several formats. The right form depends on the topic, your client’s needs and the way you naturally share your knowledge.

Do I already need to know what product I want to create?

No. Discovering that can be the first part of our work together. We will look at the questions your clients repeatedly ask, the way you work and the knowledge that could help them even without a one-to-one appointment.

Will an online product replace my one-to-one work?

It does not have to. It can be a first step, support between sessions or a standalone option for people who are not yet looking for one-to-one therapy. It can also lead to personal collaboration with clients who already know your approach and trust you.

Is this collaboration only for therapists?

No. It is for women professionals with valuable knowledge or their own way of working who want to make it available without only exchanging their time for money.

Can you also help me with the technical side?

Yes. This is not only about naming the product. The goal is to build a complete working system — the content, copy, website, sales journey, payments, emails and product delivery.
