Do You Think AI Will Fix Your Marketing? That’s Not the Problem.

A polished AI flyer still does not make good marketing. Discover why AI marketing often hides the real reason a client chooses you.

AI can now create almost anything. A flyer, a Facebook post, an ad, a website, or an email. It saves business owners hours of work and can be an excellent tool. AI marketing is usually associated with speed, efficiency, and saving time. What we talk about less is what happens when everyone starts using the same tools in the same way.

The more often I see these kinds of outputs, the more I feel the internet is starting to look like one long repetition of the same thing.

I do not think AI is the problem. It does exactly what it was designed to do. The problem is that we increasingly allow it to think for us.

One flyer reminded me where the real problem is

A few days ago, I came across a virtual assistant’s flyer in a Facebook group.

At first glance, it looked good. Modern colours, pleasant graphics, icons. Visually, there was not much to criticise.

But Facebook displays flyers like this quite small. The text was tiny, there was a lot of it, and my eyes kept jumping from one place to another. For a moment, I was trying to work out where I should even start reading.

The flyer included everything:

  • what she does,
  • which services she offers,
  • how she works,
  • who she works with,
  • how to contact her.

And perhaps that is exactly why, by the time I finished reading, I remembered almost nothing.

Especially not one thing:

What made her different from other virtual assistants.

The internet is full of beautiful flyers. The problem is that they all start to look the same.

The internet is starting to look the same

When I open Facebook or Instagram today, I often feel as if I am looking at the same content over and over again. The photo changes. The name changes. The colours change. The way people communicate often does not.

AI can create a professional-looking flyer, suggest copy, recommend a layout, and add icons. The internet then fills up with polished outputs that nobody remembers five minutes later.

AI is doing exactly what it is meant to do

AI can save an enormous amount of time, and I use it almost every day myself.

But it works with what already exists online. It looks for patterns, similarities, and proven solutions. That is why the results often look professional and still feel remarkably alike.

When everyone uses the same tools and similar prompts, the results begin to blend together.

AI can create a polished website. It cannot decide what should be visible on it.

The more alike we look, the more price decides

If a client cannot see the difference between you and five other businesses, they start comparing the only things they can compare: price, speed, or the scope of the service.

You may approach your work in a completely different way. You have simply never made that visible.

AI cannot invent the answer to this question

When I speak with new clients, we do not begin with colours or design. We begin by looking for the answer to one question.

Why should clients choose you?

Not your industry, the name of your service, or a list of everything you do.

What matters is what you do differently.

A beautiful flyer and a well-written prompt are not enough to answer that.

A good website does not say everything. It shows what matters most.

AI is not the problem

AI is an excellent tool. It helps save time, organise ideas, and create first drafts.

But it cannot replace the thinking required to understand what makes your business distinct. That is where the reason a client chooses you begins.

And even the best prompt cannot write that for you.

Before you request another round of changes

Before you start looking for a new virtual assistant or request another round of website changes, look at one thing.

Can your website explain why people should choose you?

If not, I would be happy to help you find the answer.

Every project I take on begins with a conversation.

Not so that we can immediately start discussing the website.
I want to get to know you, your business and what matters to you.
You will discover what it feels like when someone truly gives you their full attention.
At the end of the conversation, we will decide together whether we want to continue.

Frequently asked questions

Can AI create good marketing?

Yes. AI can quickly create copy, visual concepts, social media posts, and even an entire website. The result will only be as strong as its understanding of what makes your business distinct.

Why do so many websites and posts look the same?

Because AI works with patterns. Similar prompts often produce similar results. Without a clearly defined point of difference, websites and marketing begin to resemble one another.

Does this mean I should not use AI?

Quite the opposite. AI can be an excellent tool. The important thing is knowing when to use it. First, you need to understand your brand and why clients choose you. Only then can AI support content creation effectively.

How do I know what sets me apart?

Very often, you cannot see it yourself because you are too close to your own work. That is why I start every website with a conversation. During it, the things that feel ordinary to you often reveal the very reason clients choose you.

Can AI replace a web designer?

AI can create a website or generate a design concept. It cannot lead a conversation that uncovers the essence of your business, nor can it translate your personality, values, and way of working into an online presence. And that is often what decides whether a client chooses you.
